Lifeline Accessories

215 products · Work at Height — Fall Protection

Lifeline accessories are the components used to build, complete and check a fall arrest anchor system for people working at height, especially on roofs. In this collection you will find items from the brands CSC Edilizia, Irudek, Petzl, Neri, SpanSet and Marcegaglia.

What you will find in this collection

  • Complete lifeline kits, with cable, tensioner and anchors.
  • Aluminium rails and trolleys for rigid lifelines.
  • Tensioners, adapters and extensions for anchor points.
  • Inspection kits for checking installed anchors.

How to choose

The choice depends on the type of roof, the structure the system is fixed to and the design of the installation. Flexible and rigid lifelines are not interchangeable: each component must be used with the system it was designed for, and installation must be entrusted to qualified personnel, in compliance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Frequently asked questions: Lifeline Accessories
Which components are needed to complete a fall arrest line?

Besides the cable, a fall arrest line requires tensioners, intermediate spiders or butterflies, end butterflies, angled washers and pulleys for corners. These parts hold the cable in position, support it and allow the operator to move along the route. They should be chosen from the same system, so they are compatible with each other.

What is a zone delimiter for a fall arrest line and when is it needed?

The zone delimiter marks the limit beyond which one must not go along the fall arrest line, and is used where there are edges or hazardous areas on the roof. The catalogue includes it as the zone delimiter for fall arrest line 452C. It does not replace the anchorage system: it serves to organise the work on the roof.

How are corner pulleys used in a fall arrest line?

The corner pulley allows the cable to change direction without interrupting the line, for example when the roof has a corner or a projecting volume. The cable runs over the pulley and the tension stays distributed along the route. The number of pulleys depends on the layout and must be defined in the design of the fall arrest line.

Which adapters and spacers are needed to connect the line to the support?

Directional and horizontal adapters for hooks connect the cable to the anchor point when the geometry is not linear. Angled washers and base plates compensate for the slope of the support. The spacer must be used only as indicated in the manual, so as not to change the strength of the anchorage.

Which accessories are needed to fix a fall arrest line to posts and beams?

For posts and beams there are back plates, flat and double base plates, starting tops, intermediate tops and wide bases for Y-beams or light posts. Choose the base according to the type of post and the shape of the support, because the fixing determines the overall strength. Before installation, check the manual of the system.

How is an installed fall arrest line checked?

Dedicated kits are used for the check, verifying anchorages, tensioners and tightening of the system. The installation label records the data of the installation and must be completed and kept. The periodic check serves to confirm that the line is still in usable condition, and must be carried out by competent personnel.

When is a rigid fall arrest line with track and carriage used?

The aluminium track with carriage is used when the operator must move along a rigid line without unclipping, for example on a long roof or a walkway. The carriage runs along the profile and keeps the operator connected. The rigid line requires tracks and supports compatible with each other.
