A2 Stainless Steel Threaded Rods (AISI 304)

A2 stainless steel (AISI 304) threaded rods are rods threaded along their entire length, rust-resistant, used where a galvanised rod would deteriorate: damp environments, outdoors, food processing and fixings that must stay clean over time.

How to choose the right rod

First of all, the diameter and length matter: the rod must pass through the thickness to be fixed and leave free thread for the nut and washer. For normally damp environments A2 is enough; in the presence of chlorides, such as near the sea or in swimming pools, or of aggressive chemicals, A4 is normally used. Nuts and washers should be chosen in the same material as the rod.
