Wheelbarrows

66 products · Manual Handling and Transport

The wheelbarrow is the simplest way to carry sand, rubble, mortar and loose materials by hand on site or in the garden. There are traditional one- or two-wheeled models and cordless versions that greatly reduce the effort.

Types in the collection

  • Wheelbarrows with a steel tray, sturdy and suited to heavy, abrasive materials.
  • Wheelbarrows with a plastic or polypropylene tray, lighter and not subject to rust.
  • One- or two-wheeled barrows of various capacities, from 75 to 400 litres.
  • Makita cordless barrows, with a tipping tray or load platform.
  • Spares: trays, pneumatic wheels and spare kits.

How to choose

The choice depends on the material to be carried and the terrain. For heavy loads choose a steel tray, for wet or corrosive materials a plastic one. A single wheel is more manoeuvrable, two wheels are more stable, and pneumatic wheels absorb irregularities better. For long routes or slopes, consider a cordless model.
