Unifix Hand Tools and Bits
102 products
This collection brings together Unifix brand hand tools and screwdriving bits, used in the workshop, in maintenance and in assembly. It includes spanners, spare parts for ratchets and bit holders with different fittings.
Types available in the collection
- Ratcheting combination spanners, for tightening without taking the spanner off the nut
- Ratchet repair kits, to get a worn ratchet working again
- Bit holders, also with SDS-Plus fitting
- Bits for screwdriving, in the various drive profiles
How to choose
Start from the fitting or drive profile of the screw to be worked, then the size and the series compatible with the tools you already have. For ratchet spare parts, it is best to state the series marked on the ratchet to be repaired. For bit holders with SDS-Plus fitting, compatibility with the chuck of the drill or rotary hammer in use must be checked. All items are Unifix brand.

Frequently asked questions: Unifix Hand Tools and Bits
What is the Unifix combination-wrench ratchet used for?
It is used to tighten and loosen bolts and nuts without removing the wrench from the nut after each turn. The combination wrench has a ring end and an open end, so it fits both exposed nuts and tight spaces. The ratchet is useful in workshops, vehicle maintenance and machine assembly, where many screws of the same size are worked on.
What are the differences between slotted, Phillips, TX and Pozidriv screwdrivers?
Each drive has a different shape and must be used with the matching screw. A slotted screwdriver has a flat blade, a Phillips a cross-shaped tip, TX a six-point star and Pozidriv a cross with small notches. Using the wrong tip damages the screw head and makes the tool slip. When choosing, the screw drive comes first, then the tip size.
What does the code C 6,3-1/4 on bits and bit holders mean?
It indicates the bit shank: C 6,3 is the 6.3 mm hex shank, which is a quarter inch, and fits bit holders and handles of the same series. The 1/4 side is the one that goes into the chuck or screwdriver. Bits with SDS-Plus shanks have a different shape and are not interchangeable. Choosing the right shank avoids play and slipping during work.
Which screwdriver set is best for a workshop?
A complete set covers the most used drives: slotted, Phillips, Pozidriv and TX. In kits such as the F99 sets, more drives come in the same assortment, while the set with a phase tester is useful for checking whether a circuit is live. Before buying, check which screws you use most often and whether you need insulated screwdrivers for electrical work, where the choice must comply with D.Lgs. 81/2008.
When should you use Unifix insulated pliers, and what should you check?
Insulated pliers are used for work on electrical systems and panels, where there is a risk of touching live parts. The handles have an insulating coating, but they must be checked before each use: if the sheath is cut, cracked or worn, the tool must not be used. Round-nose, long-nose or half-round pliers are used to bend, grip and hold wires and small parts. Choose the shape according to the space available.
How can you use a manual riveter or industrial hammer safely?
Before use, check that the riveter is intact, with its parts tightened and rivets of the right size for the hole. Wear safety glasses, as fragments can come off during riveting and striking. For the hammer, check that the handle is intact and fixed to the head, and always strike with the flat face towards the workpiece, without using the head as a rest for other blows.
What is the difference between a Swedish pipe wrench and rebar-tying pliers?
The Swedish pipe wrench, such as the I01 series, is used to rotate and grip pipes and rebar, with the grip tightening as it turns. The rebar-tying pliers, such as the E36-54 series, are used to cut and bend the iron wire used to tie reinforcement. They are tools for construction sites and plant installation, used by those who work with pipes, rebar and steel reinforcement.
