Socket Wrenches

577 products · Hand Tools for Construction

Socket wrenches, or sockets, are tools with a hexagonal cavity that fully enclose a nut or bolt. They fit onto a ratchet, T-handle or impact driver and make it possible to tighten even in deep or recessed positions.

Types in the collection

  • Hex sockets, standard and deep, with 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" drives
  • Sockets with Torx insert, also in sets
  • T-handles and sockets with handle
  • Universal joints and other connecting accessories

The brands included are Fervi, Stanley, Milwaukee, Vigor, Unifix and Efco, as well as A.M.E.S. products.

How to choose

You need three pieces of information: the nut size, the drive of the ratchet or driver, and the depth to be reached. Deep sockets are for long or recessed bolts, while impact sockets are designed for use with power tools. If you work on many sizes, a complete set in a case is best, while single sockets are useful for topping up the most commonly used sizes.
