Synthetic Ropes and Lines
49 products · Lifting Accessories — Slings and Ropes
Synthetic ropes and lines are made from man-made fibres, such as polyamide and polyester, which resist moisture and rot better than natural fibres. They are used for mooring, pulling, tying and, in the dedicated versions, for work at height and climbing.
Types in the collection
- Synthetic braided cords, also for marine use
- Elastic cords with plastic or steel hooks, for securing tarpaulins and loads
- Semi-static ropes and climbing ropes, by Petzl and Husqvarna
Brands included: Petzl, Vigor, Husqvarna and A.M.E.S.
How to choose
Diameter and length are chosen according to the load and the use. For work at height and climbing, only ropes designed for that purpose and bearing the relevant marking may be used; elastic cords and general-purpose braided cords are not suitable for supporting people. To secure tarpaulins and loads, elastic cords with hooks are enough, in the right length for the load to be secured.
