Commercial and Industrial Generators

Generators produce electricity independently where the mains is absent or insufficient: building sites, workshops, events, maintenance work and emergency situations. The collection brings together portable generators and higher-power generating sets.

Types of generator available

• Portable engine-driven generators, some on wheels, such as the Wortex models
• Inverter generators and silenced inverters, suitable for powering sensitive equipment
• Genmac generating sets in open or canopied versions
• Silenced generators in a canopy, such as those by Pramac

How to choose

Start from the total power of the equipment to be supplied and leave a margin, because electric motors require more power on start-up. Then check whether you need a single-phase or three-phase supply, the type of fuel and whether noise is a problem, in which case a silenced version is best.
