Batteries

Batteries power torches, measuring instruments, remote controls, detectors and small site and office devices. This collection brings together alkaline and rechargeable batteries in the most common sizes, including the Varta Industrial range, and testers to check their charge.

Product types in the collection

• Alkaline AA, AAA, C, D and 9 V batteries
• Rechargeable batteries in the same sizes, to be used with a charger
• Battery testers, to see which batteries still have charge

How to choose

Start from the size shown on the device. For instruments used only now and then, alkaline batteries are fine because they lose little charge in storage; for devices used every day a rechargeable battery is better value and pays for itself after a few cycles. For departments and sites, industrial packs lower the cost per battery.
