Backing Pads

Backing pads are the support discs fitted to grinders and sanders that hold the abrasive or diamond disc. This collection includes rubber and hook-and-loop supports and segmented diamond backing pads, from brands such as Sea Technology, DeWalt, Milwaukee, Fervi and Breaker, for working concrete, stone, wood and metal.

Types available

• Rubber hook-and-loop backing pads, for abrasive discs with a hook-and-loop fastening
• Quick-fit supports for discs of different sizes
• Diamond backing pads, segmented and cup-type, for grinding concrete and stone
• Sponge pads and plates, for finishing and polishing

How to choose

Check the diameter of the backing pad, which must match that of the disc, and the fitting on the tool: M14 thread, quick-fit or other. For working hard materials, diamond pads are needed, choosing the type and height of the segments according to the material. For fine sanding, the softness of the pad matters.
