Platform Steps and Special Ladders

Platform steps and special ladders are used where an ordinary ladder is not enough: working at height from a stable, protected platform, reaching difficult points such as barrels, vats or truck cabs, and accessing lofts and attics. In this collection you will find products from Svelt, Fakro, CSC Edilizia, Facal and Fervi.

Types in the collection

• Platform steps and bridge ladders: with platform and handrails, for working safely at a constant height.
• Special ladders and platforms: for barrels and vats, for truck cabs, gangways and walkways.
• Retractable loft ladders: to be recessed into the floor, in metal or timber.
• Hooks and accessories: hooks for roof and wall ladders, folding non-slip platforms.

How to choose

Start from the working height and the weight to be supported, then consider the ground the ladder stands on, whether it needs to be moved on wheels and how much space you have to store it. Professional portable ladders are covered by the EN 131 standard: always check the marking on the product data sheet.
