Lifting equipment is used to move and position heavy or bulky loads safely, on site, in the workshop and in the warehouse. This collection brings together machines and accessories for lifting materials, panels, drums and equipment.
Types of product in the collection
- Hoists and winches: tripod and cantilever hoists for taking materials up to height.
- Platforms and lift tables: battery-powered or electric, for raising and handling loads.
- Small cranes and lifters: folding hydraulic cranes, magnetic lifters and multi-purpose panel lifters.
- Grabs and gripping accessories: hook grabs and drum clamps, brackets and lifting chains.
How to choose
The first figure is the rated capacity: the equipment must always exceed the weight of the load. Then consider the lifting height, the power source (manual, electric or battery) and the type of load, which points towards a grab, a platform or a hoist.

Frequently asked questions: Lifting
What equipment is needed to lift heavy loads on a building site?
To lift heavy loads, hoists, lifting tables, hydraulic davit cranes and multifunction lifters are used, depending on the weight and the height. There are also accessories such as clamps, brackets and pole-mounted systems. The choice depends on the load, the support point and the space available, and must be made with a risk assessment.
What is a lifting table and what is it used for?
The lifting table is a platform that brings loads up to working height, useful for taking materials up to a height and moving panels or packs. The catalogue includes Pramac models with different capacities, such as LTY15 and LTY80. Always check the capacity stated on the product sheet and do not exceed it, not even slightly.
Which regulations govern the use of lifting equipment?
Lifting equipment is subject to Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008 on workplace safety, which requires the employer to use suitable equipment and to have it inspected periodically. Inspections and documentation follow the provisions of the decree and of the manufacturer. The device must always be used within the load limits stated by the manufacturer.
Can a manual winch carry people?
The PLW-41 manual winch is described as suitable for people and materials, but lifting people requires equipment designed and inspected for this use, with the safety systems specified by the manufacturer. For other devices, such as clamps or davit cranes, check the permitted use on the product sheet before choosing. Do not use a tool designed for materials to lift people.
How do I choose a lifting clamp or bracket?
The clamp should be chosen according to the type of load, such as panels, sheets, drums or pipes, and the lifting direction required. Multi-directional lifting clamps are needed when the load has to be gripped from several sides, like the SpanSet Gladiator models. Check the capacity on the product sheet, the sling angle and the condition of the components before each use.
What do a hydraulic rotator and a Probst quick-change device do?
The hydraulic rotator rotates the attachment connected to the machine, such as a gripper, to position it in the right direction. The quick-change device lets you swap the attachment without removing the coupling by hand. They are accessories for machines with a compatible hydraulic circuit, to be checked on the product sheet.
How do I check lifting equipment before use?
Check the condition of all parts, such as straps, chains, hooks and fixings, looking for wear, deformation, cuts or signs of heat. Check that the capacity is marked and legible and that the equipment is complete. If in doubt, do not use it and have it inspected before resuming work.
