Twisted Knot Wire Brushes

Twisted knot wire brushes have steel wire twisted into small bundles, which makes them stiff and hard-wearing. They are fitted to angle grinders and drills to remove rust, paint, weld scale and deposits from metal and other surfaces. This collection brings together the models most commonly used in the workshop and on site.

Types of product available

• Cup brushes: for working flat surfaces and large areas, with threaded fitting for angle grinders.
• Circular wheel brushes: for cleaning edges, corners and weld beads.
• Conical brushes: for angle grinders, with twisted wire.
• Shank-mounted brushes: for fitting in the chuck of drills and die grinders.

How to choose

Choose according to the machine (threaded fitting or shank), the diameter and the maximum speed, which must not be exceeded. Twisted wire is more aggressive than crimped wire. Wear safety glasses and gloves, because the wires can come loose. Brands included: Fervi, Milwaukee, Makita and DeWalt.
