Logistics and Storage Containers
29 products · Tanks, Cisterns and Drums for Liquid Storage
Logistics and storage containers are used to secure materials, equipment and goods in warehouses, on building sites and in industrial areas. They are modular or single-unit structures that provide extra space without building work and can be moved when needs change.
Types in the collection
- Shipping containers of 30 feet and other sizes, by Garico Box.
- Modular and insulated containers by Comi Storage, also with EI/REI 120 panels.
- Galvanised sheet steel and temperature-controlled containers by Sall.
- Prefabricated sheet steel boxes by Unimec and containers and shelters by Metalbox.
- Bungalows for storing plant protection products.
How to choose
The starting point is the type of goods: general materials, hazardous substances or products that require a controlled temperature. You then need to consider the usable volume, the number of doors, the possibility of internal shelving and access for handling equipment. For hazardous substances, check that the structure is suited to the risk class.
AMES works on a quotation basis: tell us the quantities, sizes and intended use and we will propose the most suitable solution, with availability and delivery times.

Frequently asked questions: Logistics and Storage Containers
What are storage and logistics containers used for?
A storage container offers an enclosed, protected space for equipment, materials and goods, without having to build a warehouse. It can be placed on a building site, in an industrial area or in a company yard, and moved when needs change. The collection includes modular, single-block and sheet-metal box containers, suitable for general storage or for particular goods such as gas cylinders, drums and IBCs.
Which regulations apply to containers for hazardous products or explosive atmospheres?
For containers intended for areas with a potentially explosive atmosphere, the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU applies, which governs equipment used in these environments. For storing hazardous substances the general reference is D.Lgs. 81/2008, which requires risks to be assessed and storage to be managed safely. Check with your technical adviser which classification your use requires before choosing a model.
How do I choose the size of a container, between a 30-foot one and a smaller box?
The size depends on the volume of goods to be stored and the manoeuvring space available. A 30-foot container offers a large volume, suited to bulky material, while smaller boxes and bungalows serve more limited needs. Measure the area where the container will be placed, consider the vehicle that will deliver it and leave space to open the doors.
What is the difference between an insulated container and a temperature-controlled one?
An insulated container has walls that slow heat exchange with the outside, useful for protecting goods from temperature swings. A temperature-controlled container has a system that maintains a set value, suitable for chemicals sensitive to heat. Choose based on how sensitive the material is and on the instructions in its technical or safety data sheet.
What does the REI 120 rating mean for containers?
The designation REI 120 means that the container maintains load-bearing capacity, integrity and thermal insulation for 120 minutes in case of fire, according to the tests required by European standards. This rating is found on some models in the collection. If you need to use the container in a fire-risk area, ask the supplier for the test documentation and check with the designer that the rating is adequate.
How do I use a container with a liquid collection tray?
The collection tray retains any liquid leaks, preventing them from spreading onto the ground or into passage areas. Before storing, check that the tray is clean, unobstructed and sized for the volume of the containers you will use. Empty it regularly and according to the procedures of your work cycle, without letting liquids build up for long periods.
Which container should I choose for outdoor use or on a building site?
For outdoor use, protection against weather and the strength of the sheet metal are key. The collection includes containers in galvanised sheet steel, with or without insulated panels, and models with a cover to protect the load. Consider the type of access, whether the structure needs anchoring to the ground, and periodic cleaning of the surfaces so the container stays efficient over time.
