How to choose

What counts is the grading, i.e. the size of the grains: finer for plasters and finishing mortars, coarser for screeds and sub-bases. Then it matters whether you need a dried sand, suited to mixes that require precise dosing, or a natural damp sand for everyday site uses. Always check the product sheet for grading and packaging, and store the bags away from moisture if the sand must stay dry until use.
