The welding apron is a thick leather apron that covers the chest and legs and protects against sparks, metal spatter and heat.
What it is for
Used in steel fabrication, from cutting to assembly, as personal protective equipment required by the risk assessment and in welding and the work that goes with it.
How to use it
Tie it around the neck and waist and adjust it so that it covers down to the knees. Wear it over cotton or flame-resistant clothing, never over synthetic fabric, which melts when exposed to heat. Keep it free of oil and grease, which catch fire, and replace it if it is holed or burnt.
