What it is
Makita 1916C0-9 dust collection box, 0.4 litre, the container of the Makita DX17 and DX18 extraction systems. These systems fit onto the XGT 40Vmax SDS-Plus 28 mm cordless rotary hammers: the DX17 on the HR011G, the DX18 on the double-chuck HR012G. The dust that the system draws in near the bit while drilling ends up in the box; Makita lists it among the optional accessories of both rotary hammers.

Tighten flanges, screws and adapters with the wrenches supplied and run the tool without load before resuming work.
