What it is
Wire for hot-wire cutter Breaker. Key specifications: strength and durability High temperatures.
The hot knife or hot cutter is an electric tool with a heated blade or wire that cuts polystyrene panels and other expanded plastic insulation by melting the material.
What it is for
Used for thermal insulation of walls, roofs and pipework and for cutting everyday site materials.
How to use it
Connect it to the mains and wait for the blade or wire to heat up. Slide it slowly along the cutting line, without forcing, on a stable surface. Work in a ventilated area, because the fumes from molten polystyrene are irritating. Do not touch the hot blade and let it cool before putting it away.
