Taper shank twist drill bit Fervi ST2A35

What it is

The Fervi ST2A35 taper shank twist drill bit is designed for reliable drilling of large diameters in metalworking. The 35 mm diameter and the 118° point angle promote stable penetration and good control of the hole, while the hardness of 700-740 HV contributes to edge retention over time. The bit is made to DIN 345/N, which defines its geometry and tolerances for the taper shank.

What it is for

Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
