What it is
The Fervi PR25/15P collet set is a range of clamping collets for holding tools on machine tools. The set comprises 15 collets in sizes from Ø 2 to Ø 16 mm (2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13-14-15-16 mm), to cover a broad spread of shank diameters. It is supplied in a pack measuring 200x145x60 mm with a gross weight of 1.16 kg.
Collets are elastic sleeves that clamp small-diameter tools or workpieces. The collet chuck is the holder that houses them and is closed with a nut.
What it is for
Used for milling faces, shoulders and slots on machine tools, in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts and for turning metal parts, both roughing and finishing.
How to use it
Choose the collet of the tool diameter, as each collet covers only a small range of sizes. Insert it in the collet chuck, push in the tool for the length required and tighten the nut with the wrench. Keep the collet and seat clean and free of chips.
