What it is
The Fervi S026/10 countersink with hexagonal shank is a cutting tool designed to make regular, clean countersinks, so that holes are ready to receive countersunk-head screws. With a diameter of Ø 10 mm and an angle of 90°, it offers a precise, repeatable recess geometry, while the hexagonal shank allows quick mounting on screwdrivers and drills.
The countersink is a conical multi-edged tool that chamfers or widens the mouth of a hole, to seat countersunk screw heads or remove burrs.
What it is for
Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill, in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts and for deburring metal after cutting and drilling.
How to use it
Fit it in the drill or screwdriver and work at low speed, resting the countersink on the edge of the hole with light pressure. Test the screw to check the depth and stop when the head is flush. Lubricate on metal. Wear safety glasses and gloves for the burrs.
