What it is
The Fervi 0752CM3 belt-drive pillar drill is a workshop machine for drilling metals with an MT 3 Morse taper, which widens compatibility with taper-shank tools. It offers a continuous drilling capacity of up to Ø 16 mm and, with a pilot hole, up to Ø 20 mm on S235JR steel and Ø 25 mm on cast iron. The 1 to 16 mm B18 chuck and the 16 spindle speeds from 220 to 2840 rpm ensure machining flexibility, while the table, tiltable by ± 45° and measuring 290 x 290 mm, makes it easier to position the workpiece.
A pillar drill is a stationary drilling machine on a column or magnetic base for accurate, perpendicular holes; this category also includes chucks and drill vices.
What it is for
Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.
How to use it
Clamp the workpiece in the vice, or fix the magnetic base to clean steel; never hold the workpiece by hand. Fit the bit in the chuck and tighten it firmly, set the speed according to diameter and material and drill with a steady feed, using coolant on metals. Wear safety glasses, no gloves near the chuck, and keep sleeves and hair tied back.
Where it is used
