What it is
The Fervi T032 is a robust belt-drive pillar drill for heavy-duty workshop use, capable of continuous drilling up to Ø 25 mm and, with a pilot hole, up to Ø 31.75 mm in both S235JR steel and cast iron. The 1-16 mm B18 chuck with Morse taper CM 3 offers nine speeds from 160 to 1880 rpm and a 130 mm stroke, to suit different diameters and materials. The 400 V 50 Hz three-phase motor delivers 1.5 kW; the Ø 102 mm column and net weight of 280 kg ensure great stability.
A pillar drill is a stationary drilling machine on a column or magnetic base for accurate, perpendicular holes; this category also includes chucks and drill vices.
What it is for
Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.
How to use it
Clamp the workpiece in the vice, or fix the magnetic base to clean steel; never hold the workpiece by hand. Fit the bit in the chuck and tighten it firmly, set the speed according to diameter and material and drill with a steady feed, using coolant on metals. Wear safety glasses, no gloves near the chuck, and keep sleeves and hair tied back.
