What it is

A 4-inch multistage borehole pump is a submersible electric pump that lifts clean water from the borehole for domestic, irrigation or municipal use.
What it is for
Used in irrigation systems, from the water supply point to the emitter and for pumping water out of excavations, tanks and sumps.
How to use it
Check the diameter and depth of the borehole and the water level; the water must be clean and free of sand. Lower the pump with a safety rope and delivery pipe, with the cable joined by a watertight splice, so that it always remains submerged but clear of the bottom. Have an electrician connect it to a control panel with dry-running protection, and check the flow rate at first start-up.
