What it is
NPT Sigill U-Seal 201 Fast is not a simple sealant but a one-component polyurethane adhesive for the structural bonding of vehicle glass. It is moisture-curing, black, thixotropic and non-sag, solvent-free and odourless, high-modulus, with a Shore A hardness of about 57 and elongation at break of about 600%. The vehicle safe drive-away time is 2 hours (23 °C, 50% RH) on vehicles with driver and passenger airbags, according to FMVSS 212.
Sealant is a paste product, in cartridges or tubes, that fills and seals joints and gaps, either remaining elastic or curing hard (silicones, polyurethanes, acrylics, hybrids, construction adhesives).
What it is for
Used for structural and assembly bonding, for vehicle maintenance, in the workshop and on the road and for sealing joints, gaps and service penetrations.
How to use it
Clean and dry the joint edges, insert backer rod if needed and mask the edges with masking tape. Cut the nozzle at an angle to the width of the joint, extrude the product with the gun in a continuous bead and tool it with a wet spatula before it skins over. Remove the tape immediately and allow the full curing time before stressing the joint.
