Collet Ø 6 mm Makita 763811-1

What it is

Makita 763811-1 6 mm collet: the clamping collet which, inserted in the spindle of the router, grips router bits with a 6 mm shank. It is the accessory for the Makita 40Vmax RP001G cordless router, listed in the catalogue as a 12 mm model, in the RP001GM201 and RP001GZ02 versions. It is sold as a single piece; for the same machine there is also the 8 mm collet 763812-9.

The collet is the slotted conical element that grips the tool shank in the machine's chuck.

What it is for

Used as accessories for the equipment you work with and for routing wood: profiles, rebates and joints.

How to use it

Choose one with a diameter equal to the tool shank, insert it into the chuck and tighten it with the nut or ring. Insert the shank fully and never tighten without a tool in place. Replace it if deformed or corroded.
