What it is

A parasol or gazebo base is the heavy support, in concrete, terrazzo or other material, into which the pole is inserted to hold it upright. The parasol stand has a central hole; a ground spike, by contrast, is driven into the soil.

How to use it
Place it on a stable, level surface, insert the pole and lock it with the screw or ring nut. Choose the weight according to the size of the parasol or gazebo and the wind. Handle with care because it is heavy, and in strong wind close the parasol regardless.
