What it is

The step edger is a tool with a shaped profile that is passed over fresh concrete to form the rounded or curved edge of a step.
What it is for
Used for finishing fresh concrete and for pouring concrete, from formwork to vibration.
How to use it
Use it on freshly levelled concrete, when it has lost its surface water but is still workable. Rest the profile against the edge of the step and pass it back and forth with constant pressure, to obtain a regular edge that is less prone to chipping. Wash it immediately after use to remove the cement.
