Leather belt for wildland firefighters with loops and karabiners Carvel

What it is

Belt for wildland firefighters and emergency personnel, cut from a single strip of butt leather with no bonded layers. The buckle is chrome-plated metal covered in leather and the fittings include two loops with a karabiner and one with a ring for hooking on equipment. It is 120 cm long and 5 cm wide, and the standard reference given is EN 532:1994.

Personal protective equipment includes gloves, visors, knee pads, harnesses, lanyards and other items worn by workers to protect themselves from the risks of their job.

Used as personal protective equipment in hazardous work and as personal protective equipment required by the risk assessment.

How to use it

Choose the PPE according to the risk identified in the risk assessment, checking the CE marking, reference standard and size. Before each use, check that it is undamaged, put it on correctly and replace it if damaged, expired or, for fall protection equipment, after it has arrested a fall. Store it clean, dry and away from heat sources.

Safe use

Before every operation, check the leather, stitching and karabiner closures and replace the belt if it shows cuts or burns. It is not a fall arrest device and must not be used to restrain or lift people.
