The ratchet is a handle with a pawl mechanism that turns in one direction only and frees in the other, with a square drive for fitting the socket.
What it is for
Used for repetitive screwdriving into wood, metal and plasterboard, where torque and consistency matter, in mechanical maintenance of machinery and plant, during scheduled shutdowns or breakdowns and for tightening nuts and bolts where torque must be accurate and repeatable.
How to use it
Fit the socket on the square drive, set the direction of rotation with the lever and work with small back-and-forth movements without taking the socket off the nut. Do not extend it with pipes, do not strike it with a hammer and do not use it to break loose very tight screws.
