What it is
The DeWalt DFM1110720 PTB universal expansion anchor is a mechanical anchor with an M12 thread and a length of 220 mm, among the longest in the range, ideal for fixings on substrates of particularly great thickness. Expansion operation ensures holding power that increases under load, for stable, secure anchorages even under demanding stress conditions.
Heavy-duty fixings are steel or reinforced nylon anchors that carry high loads in concrete and solid masonry.
What it is for
Used for anchoring shelves, brackets and structures to walls, for mechanical fixing of structures and components to walls, ceilings and floors and for structural fixings, where the fixing is load-bearing and must be calculated.
How to use it
Drill with a bit of the specified diameter to the required depth, then clean the hole with a brush and blow-out pump. Insert the anchor through the part to be fixed, hammering it in if necessary, and tighten the nut with a torque wrench to the torque specified by the manufacturer. Observe the minimum edge distances and spacings stated in the technical data sheet.
