What it is

The DeWalt DT50004-QZ drill bit is dedicated to drilling metal with impact drivers. With a diameter of 4.2 mm, a working length of 31 mm and an overall length of 71 mm, it offers an HSS geometry designed for clean starting and efficient drilling.

How to use it

Mark the centre with a centre punch, clamp the workpiece and drill at a speed that is lower the larger the diameter and the harder the material. Maintain steady pressure, lubricate with cutting oil on steel and stainless steel and, for large diameters, drill a pilot hole first. Withdraw the bit frequently to clear the swarf, and never touch the swarf with bare hands.
