What it is
The DeWalt DT5060-QZ drill bit from the Extreme 2 range is designed for drilling metal with professional performance. It offers a working length of 98 mm on an overall length of 151 mm, sizes that allow it to reach good drilling depth in steel and metal components. It is supplied in a convenient single blister pack.

What it is for
Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.
How to use it
Mark the centre with a centre punch, clamp the workpiece and drill at a speed that is lower the larger the diameter and the harder the material. Maintain steady pressure, lubricate with cutting oil on steel and stainless steel and, for large diameters, drill a pilot hole first. Withdraw the bit frequently to clear the swarf, and never touch the swarf with bare hands.
