What it is
The DeWalt DT7030-QZ chuck is an SDS+ clamping accessory supplied complete with key, designed for concrete applications with rotary hammers fitted with an SDS-Plus shank. The SDS+ system ensures quick, secure engagement of the tool holder, making the most of the hammer function of compatible machines when drilling cementitious materials.
The chuck is the part of the drill or screwdriver that grips the bit or tool; the keyless type is tightened by hand, the keyed type is tightened with a dedicated key.

How to use it
Screw it onto the machine spindle or fit it with the specified adapter, with the machine disconnected. Open it, insert the bit centred and tighten until it no longer turns. Choose a chuck with a capacity and thread suited to the machine and check often that it has no play.
