SDS-plus XLR full-head bit 8x460x400mm DeWalt DT8927-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT8927-QZ drill bit from the XLR Full Head range with an SDS-Plus shank is designed for very deep holes in concrete with professional rotary hammers. The diameter of 8 mm and the considerable working length of 400 mm make it ideal for through-hole applications and deep anchoring. The carbide tip with 4 cutters ensures efficient progress, while the reduced-vibration structure ensures greater control during prolonged use.

A masonry bit is a carbide-tipped bit for drilling concrete, brick and stone with a hammer drill or rotary hammer.

Used for drilling reinforced concrete, in hammer or rotary hammer mode and for drilling solid and hollow masonry, clay brick and blocks.

How to use it

Choose the machine's shank type (straight, SDS-Plus or SDS-Max) and the diameter required by the wall plug. Start the hole at low speed, then engage hammer action, holding the bit square to the surface and without forcing, withdrawing it frequently to clear the dust. Clean the dust out of the hole before inserting the plug.
