The foot loop or ascender stirrup is a foot attachment connected to a rope clamp: you put your foot in it to push yourself upright and climb along the rope.

What it is for

How to use it

Connect it to the rope clamp with a lanyard of the right length, adjusted so that you push with your leg fully extended. Climb by alternating the push on the stirrup with sliding the rope clamp along the rope. Check the lanyard, stitching and connectors before use and replace the item if damaged.
