What it is

Zinc-rich paints and passivators are anti-corrosion coatings for steel: the zinc-rich paint is a zinc-loaded paint, often in an aerosol can, that protects like cold galvanising; the passivator coats iron, for example reinforcing bars, to delay rusting.

What it is for

Used for strengthening masonry and concrete structures, to protect surfaces during works, so they do not have to be redone afterwards and for protective and finishing treatments in construction.

How to use it

Remove loose rust with a wire brush and degrease the part, which must be dry. Shake the can or tin well and apply the product in thin, even coats, observing the wait between coats. Leave to dry completely before painting or putting into service. Work in a ventilated area, wearing gloves and goggles.
