What it is

The magnetic chuck is a steel plate with permanent magnets that are engaged by a lever, to hold iron or steel parts still during operations such as grinding or milling.
What it is for
Used for clamping workpieces, for milling faces, shoulders and slots on machine tools and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.
How to use it
Clean the table of swarf and oil, place the ferrous workpiece on the smooth surface and engage the magnet with the lever, checking that the workpiece is secure. When finished, disengage the lever before removing the workpiece, clean the table and protect it with a film of oil. Keep cards and watches away.
