Digital clamp meter Fervi P080

What it is

The Fervi P080 digital clamp meter is a multifunction electrical measuring instrument with selectable ranges. It measures AC voltage on 4/40/400/600 V ranges (±1.5% + 4) and DC voltage on 4/40/400/600 V (±1% + 2), AC current 4/40/400/600 A (±1.5% + 4), resistance from 400 Ω up to 40 MΩ (±1% + 2) and frequency up to 10 MHz (±0.8% + 2). Powered by 2 x 1.5 V (AA) batteries, it measures 250 x 71 x 38.8 mm and weighs 0.43 kg.

The clamp meter is an instrument that measures the current flowing in a cable by closing its jaws around a single conductor, without breaking the circuit; many models also measure voltage and resistance.

What it is for

Used in the installation and maintenance of residential and industrial electrical systems, for inspecting plant, pipework and structures and for measuring on site and in the workshop.

How to use it

Select the function and range, open the jaws and close them around a single conductor, not around the whole cable with live and neutral. Then read the value on the display. Check that the jaws are clean and close fully, and wear insulating gloves when working on live installations.
