Ground cylindrical drill bit Fervi P064/12.50

What it is

The Fervi P064/12.50 ground cylindrical drill bit is a cutting tool for drilling metals with a diameter of Ø 12.5 mm and a 135° point angle. The hardness of 850-900 HV ensures edge retention and wear resistance, while compliance with DIN 338 guarantees standardised geometry and tolerances. The ground body allows smooth feed and a clean hole. The product is of certified Italian manufacture and complies with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC with CE marking.

A metal drill bit is an HSS or cobalt twist drill, with a straight or taper shank, for drilling steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics.

What it is for

Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
