What it is

The Fervi ST2A15.25 taper-shank twist drill bit is a cutting tool intended for drilling metals on machines fitted with a taper fitting. The diameter of Ø 15.25 mm and the 118° point angle ensure a cutting geometry suited to different metal materials, while the hardness of between 700 and 740 HV contributes to the wear resistance of the cutting edge. Compliant with DIN 345, the bit meets standard dimensions for safe, reliable professional use.

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
