What it is
The Fervi ST2A75 taper shank twist drill bit offers a Ø 75 mm diameter and is intended for drilling large sections on drills and machines with a taper chuck. Made in accordance with DIN 345/N, it features a 118° point angle that ensures a regular cut and effective chip evacuation in steels and metals. The hardness of between 700 and 740 HV ensures a wear-resistant edge and stable performance over time.
A metal drill bit is an HSS or cobalt twist drill, with a straight or taper shank, for drilling steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics.
What it is for
Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.
How to use it
Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
