Cylindrical cobalt twist drill bit Fervi P065/01.50

What it is

The Fervi P065/01.50 cobalt straight-shank twist drill bit, with a diameter of Ø 1.50 mm, is a precision cutting tool for drilling tough, very hard metal materials. The cobalt alloy and the hardness of HV 800-900 provide a cutting edge that resists wear and the high temperatures generated by friction, while the self-centring 135° point angle promotes an accurate start without slipping.

A metal drill bit is an HSS or cobalt twist drill, with a straight or taper shank, for drilling steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics.

What it is for

Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
