Weldon-shank core drill Fervi F002/48

What it is

With a cutting diameter of Ø 48 mm, the Fervi F002/48 annular cutter makes large holes in steel quickly and precisely. By removing only the ring of material, core drilling limits heat and power draw and produces holes with clean edges. The Weldon fitting ensures stable clamping and a quick tool change on compatible machines.

Hole saws and annular cutters are cylindrical cutting tools, toothed or carbide-tipped, for large holes with a drill or, with a Weldon shank, a magnetic drill.

What it is for

Used in steel fabrication, from cutting to assembly, for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in metalworking.

How to use it

Fit the tool to the arbor or directly in the Weldon chuck, with a pilot drill or ejector pin. Secure the workpiece or the drill base firmly, set a speed suited to the diameter and material, and drill with a steady feed, lubricating on metal. When the hole is complete, eject the slug and check the sharpness of the cutting edges.
