What it is
HSS conical hole-enlarging cutter. Key specifications: material HSS.
The step drill bit, or conical drill, is a cone-shaped cutter with steps that drills thin sheet metal and enlarges existing holes to the required diameter.
What it is for
Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and for deburring metal after cutting and drilling.
How to use it
Fit it in the drill and work at low speed on well-clamped sheet, advancing until the step reaches the desired diameter. Lubricate on metal and keep light pressure so that the hole does not go out of true. Remove the burrs after drilling. Not suitable for thick materials.
