What it is
Total oxidation activated sludge plants are biological systems for the treatment of domestic wastewater, suited to homes, accommodation facilities, schools and communities; they work with continuous aeration and comply with Italian Legislative Decree D.Lgs 152/2006 when correctly sized and preceded by grease removal. In a monobloc PE/LLDPE tank, the air supplied by a blower and fine-bubble diffusers keeps the sludge in suspension, oxidises the BOD5 and carries the clarified water to final settling; designed with a sludge loading of <0.08 kgBOD/kgSSD and retention times of >24 h at average flow. Detailed operation: primary wastewater treatment systems (previously degreased) that exploit the action of bacterial colonies kept in suspension in the sewage.
Wastewater treatment systems are tanks, treatment units, pumping stations and components such as blowers, diffusers, control panels and covers for treating and pumping wastewater.
What it is for
Used for filtering system water and in the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems.
How to use it
Bury the tanks on a level bedding layer, connect inlet and outlet at the correct falls and backfill while gradually filling them with water to balance the soil pressure. Have blowers, pumps and control panels connected by an electrician and keep them protected from water. Inspect the system through the covers, clean the diffusers and have the sludge emptied regularly.
