A nail puller or wrecking bar is a steel lever with flat, pointed or claw ends for pulling nails, levering, opening crates and dismantling timber.
What it is for
Used in carpentry work and for light demolition, chasing and localised removal.
How to use it
Slide the claw under the nail head and lever it out, resting the fulcrum on a wooden block so as not to mark the workpiece. To lift or prise apart, insert the flat end into the gap and push gradually. Wear gloves and safety glasses, keeping your body out of the line of travel in case the bar slips.
