What it is

The vibrating screed is an aluminium screed with a vibration motor, petrol, electric or cordless, that compacts and levels concrete as it is pulled along; the vibrating finisher has the same function.

What it is for

Used for finishing fresh concrete, for pouring concrete, from formwork to vibration and for levelling surfaces and structures and for setting out.

How to use it

Set the guide rails at the finished level, spread the concrete slightly in excess and rest the screed on the rails. Pull it slowly forward with the vibration on, without going over the same area too much. At the end of the job, wash it before the material hardens. Wear gloves, ear defenders and boots; with a petrol engine, work in a ventilated place.
