What it is

Barrier tape is a plastic tape in a roll, with coloured stripes, white and red or yellow and black, for temporarily marking off areas, building sites and hazardous zones. Some tapes are reflective, so they are visible at night too.
What it is for
Used for permanent and temporary road signage and for road safety and the protection of people working on the road.
How to use it
Fix it to posts or to stable points, pull it taut and keep it at a clearly visible height. Replace it when it is torn or faded. The tape signals but does not stop people or vehicles: where a real barrier is needed, use barriers or fencing.
