What it is
Chlorine tablets are controlled-release tablets for the disinfection of wastewater, designed for installers and operators: they are used in the chlorinator compartment or manhole downstream of the plant, with an indicative life of 30–60 days depending on operating conditions. Composition: trichloroisocyanuric acid (TCCA) with 90% active chlorine, gradual release. The use of chlorination is subject to local regulations: check whether it is required and permitted before adopting it.
Chlorine tablets are slow-dissolving tablets that disinfect the treated water before it leaves the system.
What it is for
Used for filtering system water and in the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems.
How to use it
Load them into the chlorinator in the specified quantity and top up when they have been used up. Handle with gloves and store in a closed container, in a cool, dry place, away from acids and other substances they must not be mixed with. Keep the container out of reach of unauthorised persons.
