Choose the shape (round, square, rectangular) and size of the tube or leg, and whether it fits inside or over the outside. Push or tap them into place; those with a nail or screw are fixed into the wood, while the ribbed ones are a push fit. Replace them when worn, so as not to scratch the floor.
